Sunday was Brooklyn's blessing day. In the circle were my uncles Tracy and Roger, my cousin Stuart, Jason's cousins Jerry and Ryan, and his dad and brother, Justin. Jason gave her a very neat blessing and Brooklyn is a very special girl. She was blessed in the same dress I was blessed in 26 years ago. It was made for me by my mom's good friend, Becky Conley. Brooklyn and Grandma had an extended photo session and I couldn't narrow it down to just one, so I apologize ahead of time for the following bombardment of baby girl pictures. Some of the pictures are a little fuzzy because Brooklyn was being very active and I think the swing was moving a little bit too.

The whole dress.

Happy girl!
Yukkin' it up with Grandma.

That's all folks!
On Sunday evening we went to Justin and Jennifer's house for dinner. There, we introduced Brooklyn to her cousin, Katelyn. They had seen each other around before but had never really gotten to talk. They are about 5 months apart in age so I'm sure they'll be great friends at family reunions.
Look at the baby!
Smile for the camera! (Sticking out your tongue is also an acceptable alternative.)
Mom and her girl
Jason's parents and Luann left this morning before we were even awake. They were great houseguests and it was wonderful to spend time with them. Overall, it was a fantastically exhausting weekend!

The more pictures the better if you ask us! She is so beautiful! Finally some good pictures that did her justice. Can't wait to see her again in person.
I love her outfits! haha! She is so cute! I want a baby that smiles!
Wow Melody. She looks so beautiful on her blessing day. I LOVE that dress. It is gorgeous. And how neat that it was the one you wore. I'm glad your weekend and blessing day went so well. Dad said she was a perfect baby and slept through the whole blessing. Good for her. It is not fun for anyone when they scream through the whole thing.
Jason gave her a beautiful blessing. I say that Jason and Melody should raise a big crop of Peanuts.
So fun reading about your week! It was fun talking with you at Thanksgiving too! I'm glad the blessing went well. I think that is so cool to have a blessing dress with so much heritage! A true heirloom!
We wish that we could have been there. She is such a cute little girl. We look forward to seeing her in person.

That nice recollection that Brooklyn receives her benediction with the same dress with which your you received yours, I believe that from today it was beginning a tradition that might happen from generation to generation, do not you believe? Be glad to meet very happy, and even more beautiful moments will come with your baby, I wait to see them very soon. With love.....

That is pretty neat she was blessed in your dress. It is beautiful. Good for you to catch some smiles on camera! That is not always the easiest thing to do!
