So I thought I'd list some of the pros & cons of the little baby feeder I got Brooklyn a while back, just in case any other moms were thinking about getting one.
Pros:
1) I got the Sassy brand which includes a little gel pack in the base so you can freeze it. Plus, there is a cap for it. So, you can stuff it with food, put the cap on it, and throw it in your diaper bag. The food stays cold and you can use it later in the day.
2) It keeps Brooklyn entertained for a good 30 minutes.
3) It lets her try new foods.
4) I don't worry about her choking.
5) It teaches her the coordination to feed herself.
6) Frozen foods (she even likes ice) are great for teething.
1) It's a mess. But what food isn't a mess with a 6 month old? I just wipe her down afterwards. She's waterproof.
2) This particular brand is really hard to get open. I guess that is so the baby is sure not to choke if it accidentally comes open. I guess this could also be considered a pro, but it sure is irritating when the baby is crying for more food and I can't get the stupid thing to come apart.
3) It is somewhat difficult to clean.
4) Baby SCREAMS once she has dehydrated all of the food inside. I guess that just means she really enjoys it.
P.S. The camera is found. I asked Jason where it was and he picked it right up off of the shelf over our desk. Why didn't I see it? It was in its case... I'm not used to seeing it put away. Jason scoffed at me. I guess now he understands why I laugh when he turns the house upside down looking for his sweater and I finally tell him it's hanging up in the closet. Anyway, more pictures to come!
