Balloons

Today Brooklyn found a balloon and asked me to blow it up for her. She played with it for a while and then decided she wanted a string on it. I told her where to find one and she brought it to me to tie it. After the string was attached, she looked at it disappointedly and asked why it wasn't flying. I explained to her that it is not the string that makes balloons fly, but the helium inside them. She said, "Oh. Why's it busted?" I said, "It's not busted, it's just a different kind of balloon. It's not the flying kind of balloon, it's the bouncing around on the ground kind of balloon." She shook her head and said, "No, it's busted. Somebody busted it. Addy can play with it now." And she was off to find another balloon for me to blow up. :0)
