Brooklyn's World

Today I found Brooklyn eating powdered baby formula out of the can. Guess she got jealous when I told her one too many times that it belonged to baby Addy.

Brooklyn calls Adalyn's binky the "suckifier." I'm not sure where this word came from because I don't recall ever telling her it was called a pacifier. But suckifier fits pretty well, don't you think?

Brooklyn likes to play a little game where she asks me what color everything around her is. Today we went through her ears, her pants, the box of wipes, etc. before she said, "Mom, what color is Jesus?" Um... I wasn't really sure how to answer that one.

Christmas is coming!

Brooklyn is getting excited for Christmas. I don't think she really knows what it is but she is learning the songs and she loves to point out Christmas lights anytime she sees them. The other night we put on some Christmas music and put up a few decorations. We had a lot of fun!

Adalyn likes to look at the lights

Brooklyn had fun putting up the snowflakes

Brooklyn has been sick since Adalyn was born so she has not been able to interact with her much. In fact tonight I took her to the store to get a couple of things and she threw up...twice! Sorry Albertson's people! *These pictures were taken before the throwing up started and she is super sanitized here.

I was a little embarrassed of our little tree but Brooklyn says it's pretty so I guess that's all that matters!

It's hard to get a good picture of Adalyn awake because she is constantly moving around. I guess I have a better understanding of why Melody was so uncomfortable in those final weeks of pregnancy. This little girl likes to move!

Happy Brooklyn! She's much easier to take pictures of, although still not easy!

More Brooklynisms

Last night Brooklyn saw me changing into my pajamas. She commented to Jason, "Mommy's big!" Thanks a lot, kid.

Jason and Brooklyn like to play a game where they hide a plush soccer ball from each other around the house. Today when I got her out of the tub she started calling, "Soccer ball! Soccer ball, where are you? Soccer ball, I'm NAKED!!" Like that was incentive for it to come out??

Graham Crackers

Tonight Brooklyn told me "I want cracker, Mommy." I said, "No, honey. You already had two." Her reply? "I want three!"

Snowman

Whenever it snows I make sure to show Brooklyn in the morning when she wakes up because she gets so excited! I took Brooklyn out with me to help clear the driveway and sidewalks and then I was ready to go in. Brooklyn really wanted to stay outside though so I thought it would be fun to make a snowman. I tried making the traditional snowman but it was late afternoon and it was really getting cold. So we decided to make a "sleeping snowman." After I took the fruit off of his face Brooklyn said that he was sad. :-(

We had a lot of fun while Melody's parents and Katy and Tyler were here. Here Papi is teaching Brooklyn how to do a somersault. Brooklyn has actually done one a couple of times on her own since then.

Lucy and Brooklyn loved their matching nighties.

We had a lot of fun at Gardner Village doing the scavenger hunt.

This was the view from the room where Melody delivered Adalyn. Isn't that a great view of the temple! It was so pretty at night too.

If you're wanting an update on Adalyn here it is:

She sleeps and eats a lot, but is also generally happy when she's not doing those things. Her umbilical cord came off yesterday so today she took her first real bath and loved it! Especially getting her hair washed.

We are in the single digits! The low for tonight is 0. I'm glad I'm sleeping inside!
