Twix, Tricks, and Pics!

I just wanted to clean out our SD card and post a few pictures we've taken recently. It's always disappointing to look through the pictures we've taken because very few of them turn out well. Now that Brooklyn has gotten to be so wiggly, it's hard to catch her in a cute pose when we have such a delay on our camera. I click the button when she's smiling, and the camera takes the picture a few seconds later when she's crawling away. It's very frustrating. Maybe I'll get a camera for my birthday next month so I won't miss any more of her cuteness! Anyway, here are some of the around-the-house pictures we've taken lately.

Her very first Twix bar (one of the mini ones):

Jason's philosophy is that if we don't give her treats, she'll never know what she's missing. I, however, will do a lot of things to get to see this happy face:

Check out those teeth!! She still has just 6, but they sure have grown in a lot.

A few weeks ago (before the big move and trip to Arizona, which I still need to blog about), we got Brooklyn a few new toys. She was our plaything for a while when we taught her that they should be used like this:
She's got a little shape-sorter on her head and stacking rings on her hands and feet. She looks like Judy Jetson!! And, finally, we got her a little magna-doodle type toy for the car trip to AZ. She didn't know what to do with it at first, but when I showed her how she could draw pictures, she thought it was HILARIOUS!! Every time I made a line she would laugh. Now, she makes her own lines and giggles away all by herself. This is the first picture she ever drew:
I wish I had turned off the flash!!

So cute! I'm glad you preserved her first picture. :) She is such an adorable little girl!
Your camera sounds like it has the same problem ours does. Maybe this trick will work: I realized (after many, many late pictures) that if I hold the shutter button halfway down - so it will focus - and then wait for the next good picture moment to push it the rest of the way down - the camera takes the picture almost immediately. Try it!
