Pinhead

I took Addy to the doctor's this morning for her 4 month check-up. She is 24.5 inches long (51%), weighs 14 lbs 12 oz (75%) and her head measures 39.5 cm (10%). What is it with my babies having abnormally tiny heads?? Brooklyn's percentages at this age were the same but with the height and weight reversed. Addy is a chunker. Dr. Wise looked at her hemangioma, which is significantly larger than the last time he looked at it, and said that with how fast it is growing it might end up splitting the skin. Ouch and gross. I really hope that doesn't happen.

Addy still wakes up to eat every 3-4 hours at night. The doctor said that being as big as she is, she doesn't need to eat that often. So when she wakes up crying and it hasn't been at least 6 hours since her last feeding, I'm supposed to just go calm her down but not feed her. Eventually she will learn to sleep for longer periods of time. I think I will wait a couple of weeks on that one because Jimmie and Jill's family is coming this weekend and my parents are coming next weekend. We don't want to keep them up all night with a crying baby. Speaking of Jimmie, today in the car I told Brooklyn that her cousins and her Uncle Jimmie and Aunt Jill were coming to see her and she said, "Uncle Jimmie's too big to come in my room. Only my cousins." Not sure where that came from, but I was amused.

I feel like I should say something humorous or dishonest in honor of April Fool's Day. I'm not very good at that. Mother Nature, on the other hand, is a pro. It's been snowing all morning. You thought Spring was coming? HA! April Fool's!! Gosh I want to get out of Utah...
