Brooklyn is STUCK!!
Today I went to my 40 week prenatal appointment. I didn't think I would have one of those! I am officially 3 days past my due date and officially... going to be even later. The doctor checked my progress and my cervix is still closed and only about 70% effaced. She said she would bet money that I would go all the way to my scheduled induction - which isn't until next Friday, the 12th. I was hoping we could do it before then, but she explained that she can't even strip membranes or anything until my body starts doing something on its own. They will do a non-stress test on the baby on Monday just to make sure we are okay to wait until Friday for the induction. Brooklyn is going crazy! She has been moving around a lot more than usual lately. I feel like she is clawing to get out and my body just isn't cooperating. Jason says she will probably be claustrophobic for life by the time she gets out of there. Poor little thing!

I, personally, am glad that she is waiting to arrive. It gives us more time to consider names. You know that I have already suggested Brooklyn Puente. I would like you to also consider Brookly Ponte, for her Italian heritage, of course.
Oh, I am so sorry you have to wait to get Brooklyn out! Every day is a new adventure of everyone asking you if the baby is here yet. I hope you are not too uncomfortable. You look great, and I am so excited for you guys.
I love that you started a blog and can't wait to see your beautiful baby girl. Whenever that may be.
Still waiting??? I keep thinking we'll hear something. I never hear of people being overdue anymore. All of my friends here get induced a week early for no reason at all. Congratulations for being tough enough to stick it out.
