The other "skill" is somewhat embarassing. In Relief Society this week, she all of a sudden started doing this shrieky, talky, singy thing. And apparently she doesn't understand the meaning of a whispered "Brooklyn, be reverent!" She just sang and talked and shrieked and everyone looked at us and laughed while I turned red. She has been getting increasingly more vocal lately, but this shrieky thing is brand new. Here is a little bit of it on tape:
Editor's note: I don't generally just leave my daughter on the floor in the middle of the living room. She gets a nice little blanket laid out for her with plenty of toys. She lasts about a minute there before she scoots or rolls out into the middle of everything. "No one puts Baby in the corner!"

She is getting so big!! She is so cute! I heard that the bumbo got recalled. Im not for sure though.
She really is a VERY cute and beautiful girl. Scott even said so and he is very biased to his own girls. It's always fun to read your posts because the same things are going on here. Yesterday I put Ava on her play mat and within seconds she was crying because she had rolled, rolled, rolled all the way across the room and bonked into the TV stand. They'll be crawling soon. Yikes!
I wonder about the bumbo recall that Katy mentioned. I kind of like ours too, but I've heard not good things about them. That they don't let the baby develop the strength and skill to sit up on their own like they should. Hmmm. We'll have to check it out. She sure looks happy in it though.
Yeah, Brooklyn! I remember it seems like it took forever for my kids to learn to roll, but after that the time just flew and before I knew it they were running around. When
Danielle was a baby she went through a phase where when she was happy she would scream loud. It was cute but embarrassing. I know exactly what you mean about RS.
She just keeps getting cuter. She is growing up so fast. I love the little video clips and getting to see her move, since we are so far away.
Give her a hug for me.
Love, Grandma
What a cutie and a smart little girl. She rolls different than any of my kids. Mine always start the roll with their head. And as far as the terodactyl noise....I am very familiar with it. It just means she is finding her voice. :-)
She is so cute! Annie rolls her lower half over and leaves her chest and face facing up! Haha, it is kinda funny. And she seems so content to stay in that position! But I like how Brooklyn folds her legs up to turn over! Annie tummy gets in her way!
Thanks for sharing the videos!! Brooklyn's sounds are so cute! It's hard to know what to do when a baby is making loud HAPPY noises at church. Any suggestions?
Hey, I've just looked up whether the Bumbo was recalled and this is what I found: They've just started putting new warning labels on the seats that read: “WARNING – Prevent Falls; Never use on any elevated surface.” But it sounds like it's still ok to put baby in the Bumbo, as long as they're on the floor: "Consumers should use the Bumbo seat at ground level, but should never leave a child unattended." Common sense, I think-Here's the url: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml08/08046.html
