Amazing

Brooklyn was splashing around in the tub today and said, "Look, Mommy, I'm swimming! I'm swimming in the ocean!!" We live in Utah. This child has never swum in the ocean. Yet somehow she knows that oceans are for swimming in... I didn't even know she knew that word. I just think it's so cool to hear her language skills developing more and more each day. Another thing I've noticed is that she almost always uses pronouns and tenses correctly. Very cool. A little later in her bath she held up her bath baby and said, "Look, Mommy, she's swimming! She's swimming like a fish!" I was so impressed that she made that comparison all on her own. Of course, the other day while helping me wash dishes she randomly said, "Cock-a-doodle-doo!! I'm a rooster like you, Mommy!" So maybe I shouldn't have too much faith in her comparisons...

P.S. The last little bits of makeup scrubbed off on Day #4, whew!
