B's new haircut

Brooklyn's hair was driving me crazy. It just looked thin and stringy and gross all the time. Her bangs were always too long and in her eyes, but whenever I'd try to cut them they looked worse. She'd cut her own hair so there were chunks out, and on and on. Yesterday I'd had enough and took her to Cookie Cutters. It's a place just for kids. More expensive than other places ($11.95 with a coupon!!), but she freaks out so much when I just comb her hair that I wanted to take her where they are really experienced with kids. She played on a big slide with the other kids while we waited. Then she got to pick out a movie to watch during the cut. She sat in a cute pink car and turned the steering wheel during the cut, and then went home with a balloon and a sucker afterwards. She was good the whole time and I was SO impressed with the efficiency and skill of the stylist. Of course, I had to bribe Brooklyn with a Happy Meal and some time on the McDonald's Play Place afterwards, but it was all worth it! Here's the little cutie girl with her new haircut:

She was very ready for a nap after the whole excursion, thus the attitude.

I decided to let her bangs grow out because I don't want to have to pay somebody to trim them every time and I really am horrible at it. So we'll keep them pinned back or to the side for a while. Doesn't she look great?! SUCH an improvement.

I love her hair cut. She really does look so stylish. We go to Cookie Cutters too . . . mostly because Brie likes to chop her own hair with scissors. Ever since cookie cutters I almost always put the girls hair in that little pony on top that flips through. It's the best way to keep it in place. Brooklyn looks very cute.

P.S. I don't know if you noticed, but we are not in Florida. Scott started a new job this week so we canceled the hotel, etc. Do you know what you are doing yet?
